DeVries placed on USBWA Oscar Robertson Trophy, All-America Watch Lists

Tucker DeVries has been recognized as one of the 40 top players in the game of NCAA Division I men's basketball by USBWA.

DES MOINES, Iowa – The United States Basketball Writers Association revealed on Tuesday that Tucker DeVries of Drake men's basketball was one of 40 outstanding NCAA Division I men's basketball student-athletes named to the Oscar Robertson Trophy and All-America Watch List.
 
DeVries currently averages 21.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals. The junior wing has put together 16 performances of scoring 20 points or more and has scored in double figures in every game he's played except one to this point. He is the lone player from an Iowa school on the Oscar Robertson Trophy and All-America Watch List.

In Missouri Valley Conference play, DeVries leads the league in scoring with 22.3 points per game. He also ranks in the top-10 in rebounds (eighth, 6.6) and 3-point field goal percentage (10th, .382) during MVC games this season.
 
The 40 players nominated for the Oscar Robertson Trophy and All-America consideration will be placed on the association's annual awards ballot.
 
The USBWA All-America Team will be announced before the start of the men's NCAA Tournament. The Oscar Robertson Trophy winner will be announced on site at the Final Four in Glendale, Ariz.
