ST. LOUIS -- Drake men's basketball freshman guard Kevin Overton was named Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Week for the third time this season, the league announced Monday, Feb. 5. 

Overton averaged 12.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in two games last week. Overton delivered 13 points (including three three-pointers), five rebounds and two steals in the 75-67 loss at Indiana State on Saturday. He tallied 12 points, four rebounds and two assists in Drake's 81-70 win versus Valparaiso on Wednesday.

Overton was previously named MVC Freshman of the Week on Nov. 20 and Dec. 11.

The Bulldogs will Southern Illinois at the Knapp Center on Wednesday, Feb. 7 with tip-off set for 7 p.m.
