DES MOINES, Iowa – Drake men's basketball junior swingman Tucker DeVries continued to pile up accolades at the regional and national level on Tuesday, March 19. DeVries was named an Associated Press All-America Honorable Mention and was placed on the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District Team (District 16).
 
Graduate student Darnell Brodie was added to the NABC All-District Second Team for his efforts this season. Brodie was an All-Missouri Valley Conference First Team selection this season while leading the MVC in field goal percentage (.633) and ranking third in rebounding (7.9).
 
DeVries was the Larry Bird MVC Player of the Year for second straight year and is the only NCAA Division I men's basketball player averaging at least 20.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals. He ranks fifth in the NCAA Division I in scoring (21.8 ppg) and is one of five players with 1,800 points since the 2021-22 season.  
 
The 10-seed Bulldogs will play 7-seed Washington State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Omaha on Thursday, March 21.
