Tulsa, Okla - The Tulsa Golden Hurricanes defeated the Drake Bulldogs 6-1 in the Friday skirmish in Oklahoma. The Bulldogs fell to an 8-5 record on the season after the loss to No. 67-ranked Tulsa.

The Bulldogs began the day by dropping the doubles point to the Golden Hurricanes. Ben Johnson and Jeremy Schifris lost 6-3 to Victor Tosetto and Alex Okonkwo. Matt Clegg and Markus Bolin dropped their doubles match in a 6-2 finish. Looking to fend off the sweep, the No. 61 ranked duo of Oliver Johansson and Matija Matic fought against No. 55 ranked Pierce Rollins and Timothy Seger. Johansson and Matic fell victim to the higher-ranked duo 6-3.
 
Drake lost five out of six singles matches, and all the losses came in straight sets. Clegg was the lone Bulldog to break through and secure a victory. Clegg won the first set 6-3 over Okonkwo, but Okonkwo evened the match at a set apiece with a 6-3 second set victory. Clegg persevered to win 10-6 in a tiebreak set that solidified a Bulldog singles match win.
