BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – The Drake women's golf team finished play up their final regular season event today at the ORU Spring Invite. The Bulldogs climbed three spots over the two-day event and finished tied for ninth out of the 15-team field.
 
Drake reached its final position with a combined three round total of 915 (310-307-298—915) with Abilene Christian University (296-295-295—886) coming in first and host Oral Roberts (302-291-295—888) in second.  
 
Julie Huggins (79-75-71—225) had the lowest total and single-round score for the Bulldogs with Erika Holmberg (77-82-73—232) following close behind with the second lowest.  
 
Kate Connolly (80-76-78—234) stayed consistent throughout the tournament along with Rylee Heryford (76-76-81—233) who also managed to stay clear of major issues. Aayushi Sarkar (78-80-76—234) rounded out the Bulldog's roster.  
 
Tulsa's Sirah Steinhoff won the event after shooting 72-70-71 for a total of 213.
 
The Bulldogs will take on the MVC Championship Apr. 14-16 at the Annbriar Golf Course in Waterloo, Ill.
