LEXINGTON, Ky. – Drake volleyball was included as one of over 1,400 collegiate and high school volleyball programs to collect the AVCA Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT. The Bulldogs earned this honor after maintaining a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
 
10 other Missouri Valley Conference volleyball programs earned the same award. The list of MVC honorees is included below.
 
Indiana State holds the longest current streak in Division I as a recipient of the award at 26 years. Southern Illinois has received the honor 19-straight years while Illinois State follows closely behind at 16-consecutive recognitions. The Salukis were joined by Belmont, Bradley, UIC and UNI with an additional distinction and a spot on the Team Academic Honor Roll which celebrates programs in the top 20% of GPAs for their division. 
 
To qualify, programs must have achieved a minimum team cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.30 (on a 4.00 scale) during the entirety of the 2023-24 academic year.
