Missouri Valley Conference Releases Men's Basketball Players to Watch List

Trio of Bulldogs named to MVC Watch List

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — The Missouri Valley Conference announced its Players to Watch List for the upcoming 2025-26 men's basketball season on Wednesday morning. A trio of Bulldogs in Isaiah Carr, Jalen Quinn, and Jaehshon Thomas were placed on the watch list.

Carr, a transfer from Denver, spent the last two seasons with the Pioneers and played one season at Grand Canyon in his collegiate career. While at Denver he appeared in 46 games and made 14 starts averaging 16.9 minutes. He averaged 5.5 points and 4.3 rebounds during his time as a Pioneer. Defensively, he totaled 76 blocks including 60 during his sophomore campaign. At GCU, Carr played nine games as a freshman with limited action.

Quinn, a senior from Tuscola, Illinois, comes to Des Moines after spending the last three years at Loyola Chicago where he averaged 5.2 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.9 assists. Quinn played in 99 games for the Ramblers making 30 starts and scored a career-high 17 points twice versus Charleston and Rhode Island during the 2024-25 season.

A senior from Aurora, Illinois, Thomas joins Drake after one season at Charlotte. While at Charlotte, he appeared in 33 games with 26 starts, averaging 26.5 minutes per game and 9.5 points, including 15 games in double figures. Prior to Charlotte, Thomas played two seasons at the Junior College ranks with Florida Southwestern State. He averaged 10.1 points and 2.8 assists in his junior college career.

The Bulldogs begin their season on Nov. 3 against Northern Arizona as part of the Field of 68 Opening Day Marathon. Tipoff with the Lumberjacks is slated for 3 p.m. CT.
