DES MOINES, Iowa – The 2025-26 Drake women's basketball promotional schedule has officially been set, the team announced today. Bulldog fans should mark their calendars for an action-packed season on the hardwood with plenty of fun theme nights and giveaways at the Knapp Center as Suzie Glazer Burt Head Coach

The 2025 promotional season gets underway with Military Appreciation Day at Drake's home opener against Creighton on Nov. 9. The Bulldogs will then be back at home for another regional rivalry when No. 14 Iowa State comes to Des Moines for a Blue Out on Nov. 20.
Wednesday, Dec. 3 marks another edition of Character Counts Day! with Drake Women's Basketball as the Bulldogs will welcome Lindenwood to a gym packed with thousands of energetic school kids from around the state.
Drake's home contest against Western Illinois on Dec. 7 will serve as Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day while also hosting another Holiday Hoops affair including a toy drive in partnership with Foster Squad.
Drake's final home game of the calendar year against Minnesota on Dec. 21 will celebrate the sport of women's basketball with Grow the Game Day.
The new year begins on Jan. 2 when Southern Illinois visits Iowa's capital city for the New Year Game featuring Wellness Day. Promotional efforts will continue throughout conference play as Drake hosts Hometown Heroes Day vs. Bradley (Jan. 16), Teacher Appreciate Night vs. Evansville (Jan. 23), and National Girls and Women in Sports Day against defending MVC regular season and tournament champions Murray State (Jan. 25). The Bulldogs' matchup with Murray State will also be a White Out.
Des Moines' Hometown Team Weekend returns on Feb. 1 when rival UNI braves the Knapp Center to battle the Bulldogs. The Drake women will also welcome back former Bulldogs as part of Alumni Day against the Panthers. The Bulldog men will tip off Des Moines' Hometown Team Weekend the previous day with a tilt against Bradley.
Belmont's visit to the Knapp Center comes on Feb. 5 and will include recognition of university organizations, Greek life, and other student groups as part of Campus Clubs Night.
Fittingly, this season's Pink Game, which honors all involved in current or past battles with breast cancer, falls on Feb. 14. The Knapp Center will be painted pink for the Bulldogs' clash with Indiana State.
The Pink Game kicks off a 3-game homestand for Drake as Valpo visits on Local Business Night (Feb. 19) and UIC will be in town for the Bulldogs' Senior Day (Feb. 22).
Finally, Drake will wrap its home slate for the 2025-26 season with Girl Scouts Day against Illinois State on Mar. 5.
