The Drake volleyball team gears up for its second straight weekend from the Knapp Center as it hosts Bradley and Evansville. The Bulldogs will first go up against the Braves on Friday, Oct. 10 and then challenge the Purple Aces the following day, Saturday, Oct. 11.
Bulldogs by the Numbers
The Bulldogs put an end to their four-game losing streak last weekend as they swept Murray State to earn their first conference win of the season.
Kacia Brown led the team with 14 kills in the victory over the Racers, while
Macy Daufeldt added a double-double performance with 13 kills and 12 digs. Drake currently holds an overall record of 5-10 and is 1-3 in league play. Sophomore middle blocker
Bliss Beck has proven to be a force at the net on both sides for the Bulldogs. She leads the team with a hitting clip of .317 and is the team leader in total blocks with 66.0.

Scouting Bradley
The Braves travel to Des Moines carrying an 8-8 overall record and have gone 2-2 in the early stages of conference play. Bradley suffered a pair of losses at home last weekend to UIC and Valparaiso and will look to end their losing skid. The Braves have MVC wins over Illinois State and Evansville. Bradley has played just three road contests this season and is 1-2 in those contests.
In the all-time series with the Braves, Drake leads by a mark of 40-34. The Bulldogs have won five straight against Bradley with the last loss coming back in 2021 from Peoria, Ill. In games played from Des Moines, Drake owns a record of 21-15 against Bradley.

Scouting Evansville
The Purple Aces post an overall record of 5-11 coming into the weekend and picked up their first MVC win last weekend over Indiana State, 3-1. Evansville sits just below Drake in the conference standings with the same mark of 1-3 in conference play. The Purple Aces have yet to win a road match this season with a record of 0-4 and are scheduled to go up against UNI on Friday before their date with the Bulldogs.
Against Evansville, Drake also leads the all-time series, 37-26. Drake has won the last four matches against the Purple Aces and has taken seven of the last 10 meetings. The Bulldogs are 18-13 in home contests versus Evansville.
