The Drake volleyball team closes out the regular season with a road trip to the Hoosier State. The Bulldogs first challenge Evansville on Friday, Nov. 14 and then follow with a matchup against Indiana State on Saturday, Nov. 15
Bulldogs by the Numbers
With the regular season coming to an end, seeding for the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament is soon to be determined. Currently, the Bulldogs sit in third place in the MVC standings with a league record of 10-4. The Bulldogs can earn as high as the No. 2 seed for the MVC Tournament and can be no lower than the No. 4 seed. Drake sits just one game behind Valparaiso for the No. 2 seed, but Valpo owns the tie breaker over Drake with a head-to-head win. The Bulldogs are also just one game ahead of UIC, who currently sits in the No. 4 position in the MVC standings. Drake and UIC split their season series with each team winning on their home court.

Scouting Evansville
The Purple Aces come into the weekend riding a seven-game losing streak and post an overall record of 6-20. Evansville will miss out on the MVC Tournament with a league record of 2-12, but looks to end the regular season on a high note. The Purple Aces will follow their matchup with Drake with a home match against Southern Illinois for its regular season finale.
In the all-time series with Evansville, Drake has the edge with a mark of 38-26. The Bulldogs have won five in-a-row over the Purple Aces and took the first meeting between the two teams earlier this season with a 3-0 sweep from Des Moines. In road contests against Evansville, Drake has a record of 16-13.

Scouting Indiana State
The Sycamores will also look to shake a losing streak as they have lost nine games in-a-row. Indiana State has gone 3-11 in MVC play this season and carries an overall record of 9-17. The Sycamores have gone just 2-7 in home matches this year and will welcome Southern Illinois to town before they take on Drake.
Against Indiana State, the Bulldogs lead the all-time series 43-29. Drake also has a current five-game winning streak going against the Sycamores and won the first meeting this season from Des Moines, 3-1. Drake holds a record of 19-16 in road games against Indiana State.
