INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Senior linebacker Sean Allison has been recognized for a stellar 2025 season as one of 30 finalists for the Buck Buchanan Award, Stats Perform announced this morning.
 
Allison has totaled 120 tackles, including 59 solo stops, eight tackles for loss, two sacks, a pair of interceptions, and three pass break-ups.
 
The Buchanan Award, celebrating its 31st season, is named after legendary collegiate defensive lineman Junious "Buck" Buchanan, who starred at Grambling State as part of his Hall of Fame career. Past Buchanan recipients include Dexter Coakley, Rashean Mathis, and Jared Allen. Central Arkansas' David Walker was last season's winner.
 
The eventual recipient will be announced on Dec. 3 and honored at the Stats Perform National Awards Show on Jan. 3 in Nashville, Tenn.
 
Allison and the rest of the Bulldogs will be back in action this Saturday, Nov. 29, in the first round of the 2025 FCS Playoffs. Drake is set for a rematch in Vermillion with postseason kick-off slated for noon at The DakotaDome.
