Indoor and Outdoor Schedules Set for Bulldog Track & Field

Drake runners, throwers have calendar finalized with sights set on national meet

DES MOINES, Iowa – Drake University track and field has finalized its schedule for the upcoming 2026 season, the team announced today.
 
Drake will get its indoor slate started at the Dr. Rick McGuire Invitational hosted by Missouri from Jan. 30-31. The Bulldogs will then stay in-state for a trio of February frolics including the Iowa State Classic (Feb. 6), Grinnell's Darren Young Classic (Feb. 13-14), and the Iowa Open (Feb. 20).
 
The Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Championships will be held in Indianapolis from Mar. 1-2 ahead of the NCAA Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas from Mar. 13-14.
 
The Dogs will begin their outdoor calendar with two home events in April. First, Drake will host the Jim Duncan Invitational on Apr. 10 before the 116th Drake Relays from Apr. 22-25.
 
May will ignite with return trips to Iowa City and Ames for the Musco Twilight (May 1) and Cyclone Twilight (May 8), respectively. The MVC Outdoor Championships will be vied for in Terre Haute, Indiana in a shortened 2-day format from May 16-17.
 
Outdoor season is set to conclude with the NCAA West Region First Round back in Fayetteville from May 27-30 before the NCAA Track & Field Championships in Eugene Oregon from June 10-13.
