HENGELO, Netherlands – Last weekend, Drake Bulldog Maud Visscher competed in the discus throw at the Dutch National Championships in her home country of The Netherlands, earning a high finish and Bulldog best mark.

Visscher took bronze at FBK Stadium in the Dutch city of Hengelo. Her best discus toss of 54.03m/177-3 garnered the top three finish and established a new Drake Track & Field program record.

Visscher had a sensational spring season, earning MVC Women's Most Outstanding Field Athlete honors. She was the MVC Outdoor Championships Shot Put Champion with personal best throw of 16.73 meters and won events at the SLU Billiken Invitational, Jim Duncan Invitational, Cyclone Twilight, SLU Speed & Power Festival, and UNLV Rebel Elite.

The Bulldog sophomore finished only behind 2025 World Championship runner-up Jorinde Van Klinken and former European U23 gold medalist Alida van Daalen.
