DES MOINES, Iowa – The Volunteer Program presented by Veridian Credit Union for the 2025 Drake Relays presented by Xtream powered by Mediacom and Jim Duncan Invitational is now open. Visit
here for more information and details about volunteering at Drake Stadium this spring. The volunteer registration process has been streamlined this year with the adaptation to a new website format via RunSignup.
Volunteering is a vital piece to the Drake Relays puzzle and a tremendous opportunity to be directly involved in all Relays week festivities. Drake Relays volunteers support all athletes and teams striving for success, celebrate diversity, foster inclusion, and honor other related achievements. Volunteers are instrumental in reaching the Drake Relays' longstanding goal of guaranteeing everyone has something exciting to talk about when the annual events conclude.
"The Drake Relays would not be nearly as impactful to the Des Moines and track and field communities if we did not have such dedicated volunteers," said Blake Boldon, the Franklin P. Johnson Director of the Drake Relays. "Our volunteers take pride in their participation in one of the most storied track and field meets in the sport's history, and their service is paramount to upholding our cherished traditions. We look forward to reconnecting with those who have volunteered previously and are excited to welcome any beginners to the team."
The 2025 Drake Relays presented by Xtream powered by Mediacom is set for April 23-27 while the Jim Duncan will be held two weeks prior on Friday, April 11.
Anyone interested in joining the Drake Relays staff can also register to volunteer for the
Drake Road Races on Saturday, April 19 and
Grand Blue Mile on Tuesday, Apr. 22.
