SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Today, the Summit League announced that Ben Johnson and Will Ecklund have been named the Kwik Star Summit League Doubles Peak Team of the Week.
 
The duo earned the honors by going 2-1 across the weekend's matches and securing a ranked victory. In the Bulldogs match against Western Michigan, Johnson and Ecklund took down Brogan Pierce and Jack Davison 6-4. In the last ITA doubles rankings in December 2024, the Western Michigan duo was ranked No. 109. The other win for Johnson and Ecklund was a 6-3 victory which helped propel Drake past Marquette.
 
This is the first time either Johnson or Ecklund has won a Kwik Star Summit League Men's Tennis Peak Performer of the Week award. The Bulldog duo holds a doubles record of 3-2 on the year.
 
After four consecutive road matches, the Bulldogs will return home at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8 for a contest against Creighton.
