2024-25 Indoor Season Highlights
The Bulldogs' deep stable of throwers started the indoor season off right in Ames as
Centaine Noom-Duckworth and
Chinemerem Iwuagwu took the top two spots at the Bill Bergan Open.
Sam Carpenter and
Adam Phillips also collected top-four finishes on the men's side while
Tyla Lumley left Ames with the women's 3,000m title.
The Dogs went back to Ames the very next weekend where Noom-Duckworth hauled in another individual crown in the women's weight throw.
Emilie Meyer began her stellar indoor campaign with a third place showing in the women's mile. Meyer went on to garner MVC Women's Track Athlete of the Week two weeks later after winning the women's 800m and teaming up with
Savannah Ming,
Briandrias Rhodes, and
Madison Bunton to capture first in the women's 4x400m relay in the Bulldogs' third event at Iowa State. Meyer has also set, and subsequently reset, the program's mile record on two different occasions this year.
The men's runners have been highlighted by the efforts of their distance group.
Brogan Giffin won the mile at a loaded Tyson Invitational hosted by Arkansas, while
Aidan Palmer and
Juan Trasobares outran the 3,000m and mile fields, respectively, at the Iowa Open.
