FULLERTON, Calif. – Drake women's tennis was back in action for the second straight day on their western trip to California. The Bulldogs took on a new opponent in Cal State Fullerton but saw similar results with their second 4-0 defeat in as many days.
 
Cal State Fullerton jumped ahead in the match after earning the doubles point. The Titans' No. 1 duo of Milena Gevorgyan and Sein Myoung took down Elizabete Klavinska, who was joined by Tess Caldicott as the winning MVC Doubles Team of the Week earlier today, and Jessica Popiol. Seha Yu and Kaytlin Taylor then toppled Jana Ruzic and Shiori Takeda in the No. 3 role.
 
Fullerton grabbed another early advantaqe in singles play as Myoung and Taylor beat Klavinska and Nicole Lee in straight sets. The Titans' Mariia Nikitash eventually secured the match victory for the hosts with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Caldicott at No. 4.
 
Drake fell to 3-9 on the year after Wednesday's loss. The Bulldogs will continue their 5-match road swing this weekend when they begin MVC play at Belmont. The Bulldogs and Bruins will get things going at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Mar. 23.
