The Basics
The Bulldogs will compete in their first head-to-head race this spring on Saturday, March 29 with racing starting at 9 a.m. Last week, the team completed its spring training with a scrimmage against Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Head Coach Charlie DiSilvestro on the Race
"We're excited. This is our first real 2k race of the spring season. We had a really great day in Tulsa but those were more controlled ratings, this is an all-out 2k in our set lineups. So we're excited to put all our hard work to test over in Omaha."
Last Race Against Creighton
The Bulldogs also raced against Creighton in the fall but unfortunately lost to the Blue Jays. A Bulldog novice eight rowed by Isabella Silva,
Liliana Magnuson,
Lucy Grizzle,
Skyler Duke, Brynna West,
Hailey Castelar,
Katherine Hanses,
Caroline Pooler and Kellan Holland highlighted the day with a win in their race.
Up Next
This head-to-head race against Creighton is the first of six races for the Bulldogs this fall. The next race is the Lubbers Cup at Grand Rapids, Michigan on Saturday, April 5. The other races are the Illinois Collegiate Rowing Invitational, the Sacred Heart Open, at Iowa and the MAAC Championship.
