ST. LOUIS, Mo. – True freshman Jessica Popiol earned her first career Singles Player of the Week award after a solid showing in Drake's recent victory over Marquette, the league announced this afternoon.
 
Popiol came up big for the Bulldogs with the eventual match-sealing win at the No. 2. She upended the Golden Eagles' Andie Weise 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 to secure Drake's first match victory of the year and her first win at No. 2 this season.
