ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Drake's true freshmen tandem of Jessica Popiol and Jana Ruzic collected the final MVC Doubles Team of the Week Award this week after a stellar showing at home.
 
The Bulldog duo punctuated the 2025 regular season with a 2-0 weekend at home. The pair combined for back-to-back doubles wins at No. 1 over foes from Missouri State and Murray State.
 
Drake will be back in action this weekend as the No. 6 seed in the MVC Women's Tennis Championship with a matchup against No. 3 Illinois State on Friday afternoon.
