ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Drake graduate
Nicole Lee has been named to the 2025 MVC Scholar-Athlete Team after a stellar year in the classroom and admirable year on the court. Lee finished the season with a perfect 4.00 cumulative GPA while studying Psychology and Counseling.
Elena Jankulovska has been named the MVC Women's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year and headlines a group of 12 student-athletes named to the 2025 Missouri Valley Conference women's tennis scholar-athlete first team and second team, announced by the league office today. The team is selected by a vote of the league's women's tennis sports information directors with guidance from head coaches.
Among the twelve student-athletes named to the 2025 MVC Scholar-Athlete Teams; six of those student-athletes were named to the first team and six to the second team. This year's first team includes two players that have received previous MVC women's tennis scholar-athlete first-team recognition.
Twenty student-athletes were nominated for The Valley's scholar-athlete team. The criterion for the honor parallels the CSC (College Sports Communicators) standards for Academic All-America voting. Nominees must have participated in at least 75% of the regular season matches or be projected to play in the MVC Championship, with at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA (on a 4.00 scale). Student-athletes must have reached sophomore status in both athletic and academic standing at their institution (true freshmen, redshirt freshmen).
