Drake Volleyball Adds Four Transfers

Bulldogs bolster 2026 roster with four additions

DES MOINES, Iowa – Drake volleyball head coach Darrin McBroom has announced the additions of four transfers to the program
 
Hannah Ditsworth, Bella Faria, Shay McMillan, and Finley Schelhaas will join the Bulldogs this spring.
 
HANNAH DITSWORTH l UIC l MIDDLE BLOCKER
 
A familiar face to the Missouri Valley Conference, Ditsworth joins Drake after three seasons at UIC. The Bondurant, Iowa native returns to her home state following a 2025 season that saw her garner a Defensive Player of the Week award following a 14-block performance against the Bulldogs. She also set a career-best performance the following week on the offensive end with 23 kills against Illinois State. In her collegiate career she has totaled 90 kills to go along with 134 total blocks.
 
BELLA FARIA l ARIZONA STATE l DEFENSIVE SPECIALIST/LIBERO
 
The Arizona State transfer saw limited action during her time in Tempe playing in 34 matches over two seasons. For her career she has seven service aces and 16 digs. She was also a part of a Sun Devil team that won the Big 12 Conference in back-to-back seasons.
 
SHAY McMILLAN l PARKLAND COLLEGE l OUTSIDE HITTER
 
After spending two seasons at the Junior College level, McMillan comes to Des Moines with plenty of experience playing in 91 matches in her career. While at Parkland College, the Wheaton, Illinois native tallied 873 kills including 495 as a sophomore in 2025. On the defensive side, she posted back-to-back seasons of over 100 digs (121-2024, 142-2025) and provided 145 total blocks.
 
FINLEY SCHELHAAS l NORTHERN COLORADO l DEFENSIVE SPECIALIST/LIBERO
 
Schelhaas spent two seasons at Northern Colorado and played in a total of 41 matches. In 2025, she tallied 61 digs and recorded five service aces for the Bears. In her freshman campaign, the Urbandale, Iowa native totaled 12 service aces and racked up 39 digs.
