ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Drake's Maja Dodik was named Missouri Valley Conference Singles Player of the Week, the league announced today.
 
Dodik performed well for the Bulldogs this week, helping lead Drake to its first team victory of the 2026 spring slate. Dodik, in the Bulldogs' top singles spot, began the week with a 7-5, 3-6, 6-1 win over Creighton's Sophie Schwartz. She followed that performance with 7-6(7-5), 6-2 win over Kansas City's Amal Gati. Her victory over Gati secured the Bulldogs' 4-3 win over the Roos on Sunday afternoon.
 
Dodik and the Bulldogs will be on the road this weekend for a pair of matches in the Twin Cities. Drake will visit St. Thomas on Feb. 14 before taking on Minnesota on Feb. 15.
