The Basics
Drake women's basketball will continue its march through a challenging 2025-26 season this weekend with a Valentine's Day clash against Indiana State. The Bulldogs and Sycamores will tip things off at 2 p.m. for Drake's annual Pink Game.

Abbie Aalsma and
Anna Becker are both among the top 25 scorers in the Missouri Valley Conference this season. Aalsma ranks 11th at 14.7 ppg while Becker has shot up the stat sheet in recent weeks with her 11.1 ppg average.
Drake currently leads the league in a pair of rebounding stats, as well as distributions. The Bulldogs keep their opponents off the boards at the best rate in the MVC while boasting the top rebounding margin in the conference. Drake also dishes out the most assists per game in The Valley.

Allison Pohlman is nearing a personal milestone of her own. Pohlman is just one win away from 100 for her career. She is looking to become the seventh coach in program history to reach triple digit wins. The others are Lisa Bluder (884), Lisa Stone (697), Amy Stephens (348), Susan Yow (345), Jennie Baranczyk (310), and Carole Baumgarten (258).
Drake's game vs. Indiana State this weekend will mark the Bulldogs' annual Pink Game in support of breast cancer awareness. Drake and the John Stoddard Cancer Center at UnityPoint Health will again partner to honor and celebrate those who have battled and are currently battling cancer. Fans seated in the lower bowl of the Knapp Center will receive a free pink t-shirt. The game will also feature a recognition of the John Stoddard Cancer Center staff and honor a host of cancer survivors at halftime.

Scouting Indiana State
Indiana State is hanging right around Drake in the MVC standings. The Sycamores are 8-16 overall and 4-10 in Valley play with losses in their last three games. Indiana State will be looking for its first win since a 78-75 Feb. 1 win over Evansville.
Drake owns a 68-24 lead in the all-time series with the Sycamores. The Bulldogs won this year's earlier matchup in Terre Haute by a 97-77 margin. Drake is seeking to add to its 7-game winning streak in the series and 38-6 home record against Indiana State.
Marc Mitchell is in his second season at Indiana State. He has led the Sycamores to a 12-44 record in his two years and posted a career mark of 271-216 in his entire 17-year head coaching career.
