The Basics
March is here and the Drake men's basketball team is set for another journey through the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. The Bulldogs will take on the No. 8 seed Southern Illinois on Thursday in the first round of the MVC Tournament at 3:30 p.m. CT.
 
TOURNAMENT HISTORY
Drake is 32-43 all-time in the MVC Tournament with four tournament titles (2008, 2023, 2024 and 2025).
This will be head coach Eric Henderson's first time coaching in the MVC Tournament.
Drake has made four straight championship game appearances.
Prior to the 2019-20 season, the Bulldogs only had one MVC Tournament win since 2013.

AS THE NO. 9 SEED
Drake is the No. 9 seed for the fifth time in program history.
The Bulldogs are 4-4 all-time as the MVC Tournament No. 9 seed.
The last time Drake was the No. 9 seed was in 2013.

MVC AWARDS RECAP
Senior guard Jalen Quinn was named to the All-MVC First Team and the All-Newcomer Team. He led the MVC in scoring with a 19.4 ppg average and has the most 30-plus scoring games by an MVC player this season. Quinn is now the sixth Drake player to lead the Missouri Valley Conference in scoring dating back to the 1955-56 season.

VS THE BRACKET
During the regular season, Drake was 2-6 against the teams in its half of the bracket.
The Bulldogs were 4-8 against the other half of the bracket.

MAKING IT TO SATURDAY
Drake has advanced to the semifinal round 13 times in program history. The Bulldogs have qualified for the semifinal round of the MVC Tournament in seven consecutive seasons.
Drake has been in the semifinals in 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2008, 1993, 1989, 1986, 1981 and 1977.

MAKING IT TO SUNDAY
Drake has made five consecutive MVC Tournament championship games.
Drake has advanced to the MVC Tournament championship game in 2008, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.
