DES MOINES, Iowa – Bulldog women's tennis returned to action on Friday with a home contest versus SIUE. Drake was able to inch out front early, but the Cougars controlled singles play to secure the 4-3 result.

Kristina Tai (No. 1) won a pair of convincing matches by scores of 6-2 and 6-4, respectively.
The Bulldogs also earned the initial singles tally as SIUE's Margaux Guibal Britt was forced to retire, giving Dodik the No. 1 victory.
SIUE rebounded for wins in two of the next three matches, sandwiching a
Jordane Dookie defeat of Jessica Sue Li in the No. 4 spot. The Cougars eventually solidified their advantage with two more wins to close the day, snapping a 2-game Drake winning streak with the 4-3 score.
Drake will be back on the court tomorrow evening with a 5:30 p.m. match against the Omaha Mavericks.
