WATERLOO, Iowa – Drake women's tennis bulldozed its in-state rival UNI in a Sunday afternoon affair, 7-0. The Bulldogs got a balanced effort in both doubles and singles action to earn their second straight win.

Maja Dodik and Jordane Dookie started things off with a 6-0 shutout of Lucia Schucknecht and Andrea Noa Galin in the No. 1 doubles duel. Shiori Takeda and Milana Dejanovic proceeded to lock up the doubles point with a 6-3 win over Northern Iowa's Yangjixin Li and Sedina Begic in the No. 3 match. Elizabete Klavinska and Kristina Tai added another doubles triumph for good measure.

The Bulldogs marched through singles play with an equal amount of success. Dodik beat Schuknecht at the top spot while Tai took down Li in straight sets. Takeda and Dejanovic each won in three sets while Dookie added a No. 4 win over Abbie Peterson and Elizabete Klavinska beat Begic 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 6 bout.

Drake will be back in action next weekend for its final two home matches of the regular season. The Bulldogs are set to host Illinois State on Apr. 10 before welcoming Bradley to Des Moines on Apr. 11.
