2023: Named a captain…named PFL All-Academic Second Team…caught 5 passes for 21 yards…caught one receiving touchdown.

2022: Transitioned from linebacker to fullback... logged 4.0 tackles... caught a touchdown pass at St. Thomas.

Fall 2021: Appeared in two games... recorded 1.0 tackle.

Spring 2021: Played in two games at defensive back ... had one tackle ... PFL Honor Roll member.

2019: Redshirted.

High School: Named all-state running back and academic all-state in senior season ... team captain in 2018 ... also won state championship in the sprint medley.

Personal: Son of Troy and Michelle Vander Leest ... mother Michelle and uncle David both attended Drake ... has two older siblings, Taylor and Alexa ... majoring in Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology.
