Playing Experience:
Cox was a member of the University of I owa football team from 2011-2015. While in Iowa City, Cox helped the Hawkeyes win the Big Ten West Division crown in 2015 and reach the 2016 Rose Bowl.
Coaching Experience:
Cox started his coaching career in 2018 as a defensive assistant at Central Michigan. After two seasons as a Chippewa, and a MAC West Division championship in 2019, Cox moved back to Iowa City and joined the Hawkeye coaching staff as a defensive assistant. He was part of Big Ten West Division championship teams in 2021 and 2023. Most recently, Cox served as the safeties coach at Indiana State University in 2024.
