High School:  Was a two-time all-Evergreen Conference selection … recorded 671 rushing yards and eight touchdowns in five games before suffering a season ending injury in his final prep season … rushed for 867 yards and 11 touchdowns as a junior.
 
Personal:  Son of Patricia Furu and Dennis Furu … majoring in psychology … has two older sisters.
