2024: Named a finalist Buck Buchanan Award for second time…Named to All-Pioneer Football League First Team…earned a PFL Co-Defensive Player of the Week award…named to Academic All-PFL First Team and PFL Academic Honor Roll…entered season as an FCS Football Central Preseason All-American…played in all 11 games to close an illustrious Drake career…tallied 45 tackles including 17.5 for loss with 10 sacks…hurried opposing quarterback 10 times…posted a PBU, forced fumble, and fumble recovery.

2023: Named PFL Defensive Player of the Year…named All-PFL First Team…named PFL All-Academic First Team…named a Buck Buchanan Award Finalist…recorded 57 total tackles…19 tackles for loss for a total loss of 57 yards…forced 5 fumbles.

2022: PFL Freshman Defensive Player of the Year... All-PFL First Team... STATS FCS Freshman All-American... Hero Sports FCS Freshman All-American... recorded 48 tackles… owned a team-high 14.5 tackles for loss for a total of 74 yards lost… made a team-high eight sacks and 11 quarterback hurries… one forced fumble.

Fall 2021: Recorded five tackles before redshirting.

Prior to Drake: Local standout who finished his prep career at Dowling Catholic High School in 2020 after playing his first three seasons for Roosevelt High School (Roosevelt's 2020 season canceled due to global COVID-19 pandemic ... helped the Maroons advance to the Class 4A semifinals in 2020 and the Roughriders earn their first playoff appearance in 26 years in 2019 ... played both offense and defense his junior year earning all-district honors on both sides ... honorable mention all-district as sophomore.

Personal: Son of Adam and Megan Claypool ... has one sister, Kate, who is on the University of Iowa softball team ...  has one younger brother, Henry ... plans on majoring in laws, politics and society ... chose Drake because it felt like home and is best place to be best self.
