Prior to Drake: Bruising fullback/running back at Notre Dame Prep…named All-Region First Team and Honorable Mention…earned plethora of academic honors including National Football Foundation Valley of the Sun Chapter Scholar-Athlete, four All-Academic Team nods…Presidential List for High Academic Achievement…and Valle Luna Scholar-Athlete Award…four-year varsity letter winner…four-time Running Back of the Week recipient…voted Notre Dame Prep Running Back of the Year and Captain of the Year.

Personal: Born August 2006…son of Scott and Wendy Samis…father played football at Eastern Arizona and Trenton State College…intends to major in health sciences.
