2017: Named All-PFL honorable mention ... led the team with nine pass break-ups ... recorded 31 tackles and two interceptions ... totaled five tackles and a interception in a win against Jacksonville ... tallied six tackles at Campbell ... had five tackles at San Diego ... totaled four tackles at Butler ... had three tackles against Valparaiso ... record his first interceptions and registered a tackle against Southwestern ... totaled three tackles in season opener against South Dakota. 

2016: Started in nine games ... recorded 42 tackles including 25 solo ... tallied four tackles against Stetson ... recorded four tackles against Butler ... had six tackles against Jacksonville ... registered five tackles against Campbell ... tallied six tackles against Valparaiso ... recorded four tackles in games against Quincy, Morehead State and Dayton.

2015: Made a solo tackle in games against Stetson and William Jewel. 

2014: Saw playing time in 10 games … recorded eight tackles … recorded four tackles against Davidson ... made three special teams tackles against Marist ... assisted on a tackle at Western Illinois. 

2013: Redshirted.

Prep: Led team to a sectional championship and appearance in the state semifinals as a senior and recorded four interceptions … was an academic all-state selection in football and track and field … football team won its sectional title as a junior … also helped the basketball team to a pair of sectional titles.

Personal: Majoring in accounting ... named to the 2013 PFL Honor Roll … is the son of Fred and Linda Newell … has three siblings, Frederick, Dajon and Jamiah … Frederick played five seasons of basketball at North Dakota State while Dajon played football at Augustana.
