Prior to Drake: Named academic all-conference both his junior and sophomore year ... was a state qualifier his junior year ... participated in the 4x400m and the 4x800m at the Drake Relays for Urbandale High School ... helped Urbandale place 13th overall at state cross country his senior year.
Personal: The son of Nate Knepper and Rachael Pettit ... brother, Reece, is also a distance runner at Drake University ... he was consistently on the honor roll and is within the top 3 percent, academically, in his class ... he intends to major in athletic training.
