Personal: Born Oct., 1999 ... daughter of Doug and Danielle Van Zyl ... has one brother, Parker and one sister, Lani ... Lani plays softball at Winona State University ... plans on majoring in magazine media  or news ... chose Drake because of the culture created by the program and the university. Success is measured first in the classroom and second on the field. The student athletes at Drake set the bar high academically and athletically, and knew wanted to be a part of that.
