Drake University Athletics

Cooper Martin was named Assistant Volleyball Coach at Drake on June 17^th, 2024.
 
Martin serves as the Recruiting Coordinator for Drake Volleyball. In addition to recruiting, she remains focused mostly on the program’s offense and working with setters. She is currently in her second year in this role.
 
Prior to Drake, Martin served as the Head Beach/Assistant Indoor volleyball coach at Southwest Baptist University for the 2023-2024 season. From 2021-23, Martin taught English and coached volleyball at Lubbock Christian High School where her team made consecutive state tournament appearances for the first time in school history.
 
Martin graduated from Decatur High School in Decatur, Texas. There, Martin led her team to two consecutive state championship titles while earning MVP honors. Martin played and later coached indoor and beach volleyball at Texas Advantage Volleyball Club in Dallas, Texas. She then went on to play collegiate volleyball at Dallas Baptist University where she earned her degree in Sports Management.
