CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA -- The Drake mens golf team had its reign of four consecutive titles at the Big Four Championship come to an end Monday at the Elmcrest Country Club as Iowa State posted a 36-hole total of 280-288-568 to edge the Bulldogs by three strokes (277-294=571). Iowa and Northern Iowa tied for third at 574.
Drake took the early first-round lead at 277, thanks to a career-low 62 from senior
Ross Hamann (Lakeville, Minn.), who posted nine birdies in the round.
Hamann carded a 72 in the final round, but his 134 was still good enough to take medalist honors.
Drake freshman

Wes Pantling (Perksinfield, Ontario, Canada) tied for 12th at 71-76-147, while freshman Nick Shiimon (Peoria, Ariz.) tied for 15th at 74-75=149.
Sophomore
