SPRINGFIELD, MO. - Drake senior
Barry Hill (Caddo Hills, Texas) won the 8,000-meter run at the Missouri State Invitational cross country meet Saturday morning. The Bulldogs won the men's team title with 24 points followed by Drury with 43 and UMKC with 72.
Hill posted a winning time of 26 minutes 52 seconds, while junior teammate
Leyden Tolhurst (Auckland, New Zealand) was second in 27:04.
The Bulldogs placed six runners in the top 10 with junior
Andrew Shortslef (Janesville, Wis.) finishing sixth (27:34), junior
Evan Jurkovich (Edina, Minn.), seventh (27:56); junior
Evan Wood (Bettendorf, Iowa) eighth (28:04) and freshman
Mike Bumgarner (Rosemount, Minn.) ninth (28:06).
