CHICAGO, ILL. - No. 30 DePaul proved too stiff a challenge for the Drake women's tennis team on Saturday (March 7) as the Blue Demons collected a 7-0 triumph over the Bulldogs.
The setback drops Drake to 3-8 overall, while DePaul pushed its mark to 14-2.
Freshmen
Gabriela Demos (Chesterfield, Mo.) turned in a solid effort at the No. 2 singles position but came up short in a 6-4, 7-6 (5) loss to Dunja Antunovic.
Drake closes out its season-opening 12-match road swing on Sunday as the Bulldogs battle Illinois at Chicago (UIC) in a 9:00 a.m. contest.
