CARBONDALE, ILL. - The Drake women's tennis team came up empty in its pursuit of victory on Sunday (April 11) as Southern Illinois posted a 5-2 decision over the Bulldogs.

The Salukis swept all three doubles matches to assume a lead they never relinquished. 

Drake garnered a pair of singles victories courtesy of freshman Manca Krizman (Solkan, Slovenia) and sophomore Jessica Aguilera (Santa Cruise, Bolivia) at the Nos. 2 and 3 positions.

Krizman dispatched of Emily Whitney, 6-0, 6-2, while Aguilera bettered Jennifer Dien, 6-4, 6-3.

The Bulldogs return to action on Saturday (April 17) hosting Bradley at 2:00 p.m. at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
