DES MOINES, IOWA - Completing a doubleheader sweep, the Drake men's tennis team improved to 6-0 on the campaign following its 6-1 victory over Graceland on Sunday (Feb. 20) at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.

After dropping the doubles point in their morning match with UIC, the Bulldogs swept all three doubles contests to assume a 1-0 lead heading into singles play against the Yellowjackets.

In singles, the two sides split the first two contests before Drake garnered wins at the Nos. 1, 3, 4 and 6 slots to register the victory.

Sophomore Jean Erasmus (Windhoek, Namibia) downed Carlos Yanes, 6-2, 6-1, on court No. 2, before sophomore Ryan Drake (Hilton Head Island, S.C.) bested Patxy Suarez at No. 6, 6-3, 6-4, to provide the Bulldogs with a 3-1 advantage.

Freshman Robin Goodman (Cambridge, England) clinched the contest at the fourth slot recording a, 6-2, 6-2, triumph over Kai Drwecki.

The Bulldogs also netted victories courtesy of senior Mauricio Ballivian (Santa Cruz, Bolivia) and sophomore Anis Ghorbel (Sfax, Tunisia) at the Nos. 1 and 3 holes, respectively.

An in-state showdown at Iowa looms for Drake as the Bulldogs visit the Hawkeyes on Wednesday (Feb. 20) for a 6:00 p.m. tilt.
