The Bulldogs, who trailed by as many as 15 points late in the first half, worked their way back to just a four-point deficit, at 63-59 with 5:16 to play. Drake continued attack the basket and keep pressure on Creighton, but the Bluejays answered every Bulldog threat down the stretch to seal the victory.

Alexander scored 14 of his 16 points in the second-half to reach double figures for the fifth time in the last seven games.

The near-capacity crowd provided a tremendous home-court atmosphere for the Bulldogs on their "White Out" night, in particular the student section, which was packed to its fullest level all season.
"We love our crowd here at the Knapp Center," said Phelps. "They provide energy that our players really feed off of. This is a great building for college basketball. I've been fortunate to be in other arenas, every building in the ACC, every building in the Pac-10, and Phog Allen Fieldhouse at Kansas, and this is truly a great building we have here."
"And we will need that same atmosphere on Saturday," Phelps added.
The Bulldogs continue their home stand Saturday night when MVC co-leader Wichita State visits the Knapp Center for an 8:07 tipoff.
