LAWRENCE, Kan. - Freshmen Lea Kozulic (Varazdin, Croatia) and Evy Van Genechten (Antwerp Belgium) sparked
the Drake women's tennis team on the final day of the Kansas Fall Invitational
on Saturday (Oct. 20) capturing the consolation doubles title.
The duo opened its day posting an 8-5 decision past Chelsea Moore and
Stefannia Russo of Northern Iowa, 8-5.
In the title tilt, the tandem bested Veronique Luksich and Viktoriya
Plyuta of Arkansas-Little Rock, 8-3.
In singles, sophomore Amanda Dick (Kenosha, Wis.) recorded a pair of
triumphs in the 'D' singles draw downing Lindsay Cayton of Northern Iowa, 6-4,
7-5, and Kansas State's Miranda Erisman, 6-2, 6-2.
The Kansas Fall Invitational capped the fall campaign for the Drake
women's tennis team.
