What's Ahead: The Drake men's track and field
team will send a partial squad to the Stanford Invitational on Friday and
Saturday (April 6-7) in Palo Alto, Calif.

Last Time Out: Sophomore Andy Curtis (Manchester, Iowa) won the hammer throw at the Arkansas
Spring Invitational in the Bulldogs first outdoor contest of the season.
Curtis
won the event with a career best of 164 feet 9 inches.
Junior Isaac Twombly (Baldwin, Kan.) was
second in the hammer throwing 161 feet 10 inches.
In the
javelin, sophomore Phillip Beeler
(Lenexa, Kan.) was fourth with a throw
of 202 feet 2 inches, while junior Kevin Harp (Iowa City, Iowa) claimed eighth with a heave of 195 feet 11 inches.
Senior
Charlie Lapham (Apple Valley, Minn.)
was second in the 1500-meters clocking in at 3:53.88. Senior Matt Jurysta (Oshawa, Ontario) snared
sixth-place in 3:57.46.
Senior
Jon DeGrave (Lake Villa, Ill.)
finished eighth in the 400-meter hurdles in 52.73.
Senior
Shaun James (Lawrence, Kan.) was
15th in the 100-meters (10.97) and 200-meters (21.99).

will host the Jim Duncan Invitational on April 13-14 at Drake Stadium.
