Lawrence, Kan. – Senior Kevin Harp (Iowa City, Iowa) broke the 200-foot mark for the first time this season to represent the Drake University men's track and field squad at the Kansas Relays Friday.
Harp's throw of 200-9 is the best by a Drake javelin thrower this season and is the seventh time he has surpassed the 200-foot mark in his career. He finished seventh in the event.
Freshman David Silkman (Lenexa, Kan.) continued a phenomenal first-year campaign by throwing a personal best of 186-10 to finish in 11th.
The remainder of the Drake men's track and field team will compete at the Musco Twilight Meet tomorrow in Iowa City, Iowa.
