DES MOINES, Iowa - Sophomores Mariel Ante (Riverside, Calif.) and Jordan Eggleston (LaQuinta, Calif.) each registered singles titles to lead the Bulldogs on the final day of the Drake Fall Invitational on Sunday (Sept. 15) at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.

In the finale of the 'B' singles flight, Ante bested Ana Gasparovic of Iowa State, 6-2, 7-5, to earn her second championship of the tournament.

A 6-3, 6-3 decision past Marissa Bach from Northern Colorado gave the title in the 'C' bracket to Eggleston.

Coming up short in her bid to win the top singles draw was junior Nell Boyd (Arlington Heights, Ill.), who suffered a 6-3, 6-1 setback versus Ksenia Pronina of Iowa State.

Drake continues its fall campaign next weekend traveling to Minneapolis, Minn., to compete in the Golden Gopher Fall Invitational next Friday (Sept. 20) through Sunday (Sept. 22).
