DES MOINES, Iowa – Three players will vie for one singles crown for the Drake men's tennis team after the Bulldogs registered an 11-1 singles mark in second-day action at the Roger Knapp Invitational on Saturday (Sept. 21) at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
Notching three victories apiece to reach the semifinal round of the 'A' singles draw was junior Matt Frost (Cambridge, England), sophomore Ben Lott (Newcastle, England) and freshman Euan McIntosh (Edinburgh, Scotland).
Falling one triumph shy of making it an all-Drake final was junior Grant Tesmer (Lincoln, Neb.).
Lott will square off in the top half of the draw versus McIntosh, while in the bottom portion of the bracket; Frost encounters Billy Paluch of Creighton. The two winners will vie for the championship.
Competition at Roger Knapp Invitational concludes on Sunday (Sept. 22) beginning at 9:00 a.m.
