TULSA, Okla. - Junior
Alen Salibasic (Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina) led the efforts of the Drake men's tennis team at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American Championship on Monday (Sept. 30) winning his match in the qualifying draw.
Salibasic advanced into the second round of the tournament on Tuesday (Oct. 1) after besting Hunter Harrington of Clemson, 6-4, 6-4.
Senior Robin Goodman (Cambridge, England) suffered a 6-3, 6-2 setback versus Farris Gosea of Illinois in his opening-round match.
Junior Matt Frost (Cambridge, England) saw his tournament run in singles conclude following a 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 loss against Dusty Boyer from Nebraska.
Garnering bids into the qualifying doubles draw on Monday (Sept. 30) were the Drake tandems of Frost and Goodman and junior Ben Mullis (Leicestershire, England) and Salibasic.
Competition at the ITA All-America Championships continues on Tuesday (Oct. 1) beginning at 9:00 a.m.
