Drake University men's soccer's Alec Bartlett (Overland Park, Kan.) has been selected to the 2014 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Men's University Division Scholar All-North/Central Region Second Team.

Bartlett, a redshirt junior defender, finished ninth in the MVC in shots with 30 and helped anchor a defense that recorded three shutouts, the fifth-most in the league.

Bartlett, who received Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District honors as well as a spot on MVC Scholar-Athlete first team, started all 19 matches for the Bulldogs this past season with two goals and pair of assists to earn first-team All-MVC honors for the second-consecutive season. A biology major with a 3.56 GPA, he was also a recipient of the MVC Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award.
