DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University women's basketball program, led by third-year head coach Jennie Baranczyk, has released its Missouri Valley Conference schedule.
Drake again plays a double round-robin conference schedule with 18 total games that kicks off with a two-game road trip to Loyola on Jan. 2 and Bradley on Jan. 4. The Bulldogs have started Valley play on the road 11 times in the past 12 seasons.
Drake's first league contest at the Knapp Center will be against Illinois State on Jan. 9, and it will close the weekend against Southern Illinois on Jan. 11. A three-game road swing starts with an in-state matchup at UNI on Jan. 16, followed by contests at Indiana State (Jan. 23) and at Evansville (Jan. 25).
After a home game against Missouri State on Jan. 31, the Bulldogs start February with a visit from Wichita State (Feb. 1). Road games at Southern Illinois (Feb. 6) and Illinois State (Feb. 8) are next before Drake hosts a three-game homestand, with visits by UNI (Feb. 13), Evansville (Feb. 20) and Indiana State (Feb. 22). The team closes February at Wichita State on Feb. 27 and begins the month of March at Missouri State (March 1).
A pair of home games will close out the regular season with visits by Bradley (March 5) and Loyola (March 7), respectively.
The MVC Championship will take place from March 12-15, 2015 in St. Charles, Mo. This will be the final season the championship will be contested in St. Charles. Earlier this summer, the conference announced a three-year agreement for the championship to be held at the iWireless Center in Moline, Ill., starting March 10-13, 2016.
Season tickets and flex packs for the upcoming season will go on sale to the general public on Sept. 18. Current season ticket holders can renew their season tickets up through Sep. 5 by visiting the Drake Athletic Ticket Office or calling 515-271-3647. Single-game tickets will go on sale to the public on Oct. 22.
